Students will complete a typed, APA formatted paper based on:
Interview 2 (two) counselors (LPC) or school counselors in your field with diverse demographics. Note: LPC-I will be accepted as one interview only. Use the Psychology Today website to find counselors in your community.
In-person contacts are preferred; phone contacts are permitted.
Interview questions are presented on the recording sheet in a separate handout.
You do not have to record the responses verbatim; just summarize the essence of the response.
Review of the Literature: review a minimum of 6 professional journal articles related to topics addressed. Note: it is typically easier to choose the articles related to topics completed and responses obtained.
Journal articles must not be older than 2010.
Integrate citations from the articles and/or Gladding text in each paragraph of the Literature Review portion of the Interview paper. That is, you should be able to support your presentation of materials from the interview with professional references or the Gladding text. Each article and the Gladding text should be cited a minimum of one time.
