To complete this assignment, you will do the following:
In two paragraphs, briefly describe your topic. In the first paragraph, provide an overview of the issue at large. In the second paragraph, explain your views on the issue and give a tentative thesis (arguable, defendable claim).
In one paragraph, briefly describe how this issue affects the audience (Oklahomans, Americans, global citizens, etc.). What social, economic, and cultural implications exist as a result of this issue?
In two paragraphs, describe how you will approach your topic. In the first paragraph, explain what aspects of the issue you will analyze. In the second paragraph, explain what evidence you will use to support your stance on the issue.
Finally, in one paragraph, describe how you will approach your audience. Since you are writing for a specific audience, what type of language and tone will you employ? What background context and history will you need to provide? What cultural and/or historical factors will you have to consider?
