- A brief summary of the story line.
- Identification of psychological/social themes, issues, and concepts in the film.
- An analysis of the movie from a psychologist’s/sociologist’s point of view, with the use of critical-thinking concepts; each concept/key term should be italicized.
- Insights found in a minimum of three other sources. Students will not merely cite information from other works; they will use evidence to support their own thinking about the film along with critically analyzing their research.
- An evaluative conclusion of the findings and a description of any personal changes in beliefs, attitudes, assumptions, opinions, etc., about the identified themes, issues, and concepts.
Focus mostly on the third point above in their papers, and they will keep any summarizing of plot, scenes, and character brief (approx. one page).
