Incorporating several sources (including the relevant chapters in your text), write a 1000-1250 word response paper based on the following:
Read Elie Wiesel’s Night (or another book about the Holocaust) or watch a film about the Holocaust (Sophie’s Choice, Playing for Time, or Schindler’s List, for example). Discuss some of the classic responses to the problem of evil as applied to the experience depicted in these works of art. How does one interpret the Holocaust within a perspective stressing the law of karma, for example? Within a perspective stressing sovereignty? Does any one of the responses seem more adequate than the others?
Incorporate your answers into a standard essay–with an introduction, body (with at least three main points) and conclusion. This paper should not be written in first person.
