The paper needs to discuss the common causes for juvenile delinquency so that the reader can get a better understanding why juveniles commit offenses. The paper will then discuss the different rehabilitation programs that are used in Michigan and if they have been successful at reducing recidivism rates with Michigan youth. The paper will then discuss incarceration programs used in Michigan and if they have been successful in reducing recidivism rates in Michigan youth. The paper will discuss possible alternative methods can that can be used in dealing with juvenile offenders and then based on the research their will be a conclusion to whether rehabilitation is more effective than incarceration at reducing the recidivism rate of juvenile offenders in Michigan or if we need to take another approach.
