Description
Write up a review of the West Side Story film. The paper will contain the following elements: 1. On the first page of the paper, clearly identify the title of the film, the year it was produced, and a list of the main characters. 2. Continue the paper with a brief plot outline. 3. Watch for themes that reflect diversity. Discuss the themes noted, and review the areas of diversity that are addressed. Did the film address cultural differences, issues of race and gender, religious issues, age discrimination, physical or mental ability, or other differences? Review the literature to see what recent articles or books are relevant to the themes in the film. What is your opinion on the issues reviewed in the literature? Have you ever experienced anything like what has been analyzed? 4. Summarize the message that you believe the movie was created to make. Was there an obvious conflict addressed by the film? Was it resolved? 5. Include a few paragraphs on how the movie made you feel. Were you angry, sad, sympathetic or amused? 6. Would you recommend this movie to others? Why or why not? The paper should be about 4-5 pages in length, not including the cover and reference page. Use 12-point font, Times New Roman, with 1” margins on all sides. Be sure to include information from the literature (at least two sources) that are properly cited in the paper and on the Reference page.
