Students may choose one of the following areas to address in the Paper: A. Themes: What are the underlying themes the playwright addresses in the literature? OR B. Characterization: How are the various characters within the literature portrayed? Are they stereotypical and/or do the portrayals make a literary statement? You must use direct citations from the play to support your arguments. Additionally, whether choosing option A or B, students must include the following prompt: Pertinent Social Issues: Are there elements of the play which are pertinent and noteworthy for us in 2020? How are those issues illustrated in today’s world?
