As health care professionals it is our responsibility to communicate with medical staff to know when to report such activities. More specifically, reporting elder abuse can involve working with multiple departments and it is key to have effective communication styles. Many times, elder abuse may come from family members and even from caregivers. I remember when working for a health center they taught us a workshop to report patient abuse, elder abuse and child abuse when patients came to the clinic for an appointment.
