The assignment is to perform an analysis of a picture book. The assignment should be approximately two to three pages of single-spaced text. Finally, you are not required to use any secondary sources, but please avoid plagiarism .
To help you, here are the kinds of questions you may want to ask in your analysis (you will notice that these are the kinds of questions we already discussed in class):
Theme: How does a picture book address a particular topic, for instance, friendship, sibling relations, etc.? Does the book send an effective, straightforward pedagogical message? Does it try to ‘deliver a point’ or is it more open than that?
Images and Design: In what way do the pictures and the overall design contribute to the effect of the picture book? How do the text and the images interact? Offer examples for your claims.
