Mental Health Nursing clinical session
Details: Self-awareness is a key part of the psychiatric nursing experience. The nurse’s goal is to achieve authentic, open and personal communication that is therapeutic in nature. The nurse must be able to examine personal feelings, actions, and reactions.
How do you feel about the mentally ill population? Do you have any past experiences in dealing with mental health?
What feelings, fears, and vision do you have about working with psychiatric patients?
What do you hope to accomplish during this rotation?
What will you need from your instructor to help you with your clinical experience?
