• Study various surveys to determine effective layout and format.
• Design a survey to gather primary data that reveals the Values, Assumptions, Beliefs and Expectations (VABE’s) of a set of team members.
• Good survey design requires that you “begin with the end in mind” (Steven Covey). In other words, before you add a question to a survey, you have to consider what you will do with the results. Therefore, each question contained in your survey must include a “Purpose of question statement” (see examples).
