Identified Task

The identified task comprise of the significance of data is asserting the value of the research and its application in the diagnosis and management of patients’ in low and middle income countries. The increase to the volume of patient data continues to increase dramatically and expand in its role in the provision of health care services delivery. The use of electronic health information system (EHIS) aims at facilitating quality service delivery by helping health care workers in better management of patients’ information. The article delves into the role use of patient data in the advent of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has facilitated health care delivery at point-of-care (POC).

The use of efficient EHIS plays an integral role by ascertaining the realization of three aims. These include; (i) reduction of serious errors and unintended consequences, (ii) decrease in costs, and (iii) improvement of the quality of healthcare service delivery. The value of HIM in health care service delivery is integral as it provides healthcare workers with centralized information with high accessibility and availability all the time. The reliability of patient is fundamental to health care service delivery. As a result, the article emphasizes on the crucial role and value health information management systems plays in handling patient data. Hence, enhance the quality, standards, and capacity of health care service delivery.
